Owens World Air, Inc. (“Owens World Air,” “we,” “us”) operates as a business-to-business air freight, trucking, warehousing, and customs brokerage company based at DFW Airport. This policy describes how we collect and use personal information in connection with our internal staff communications system, including SMS/text messaging.
Who this applies to
This policy applies to Owens World Air employees and authorized staff who use our internal dispatch communication system. It does not apply to customers, forwarders, or the general public — Owens World Air does not send marketing or promotional text messages to any individual outside our organization.
Information we collect
For staff enrolled in our internal SMS dispatch system, we collect and store: name, mobile phone number, and login credentials for our internal dispatch application. Messages sent to and from our dispatch system may include operational information such as job assignments, pickup and delivery details, and status updates related to freight logistics.
How we use this information
Information collected is used solely to operate our internal freight dispatch system — coordinating pickups, deliveries, and driver assignments among Owens World Air staff. We do not sell, rent, or share staff phone numbers or message content with third parties for marketing purposes.
SMS/text messaging
Staff members are enrolled in our SMS dispatch system directly by an Owens World Air administrator as part of their operational duties. There is no public sign-up process. Staff may request removal from the system at any time by notifying their administrator, who will deactivate access immediately. Message and data rates may apply per the staff member’s own mobile carrier plan.
Data retention and security
Operational messages and associated job data are retained as part of our standard business recordkeeping. We take reasonable technical measures to protect this information, including encrypted network transmission and access controls limited to authorized personnel.
